Gisèle Pelicot has spoken briefly to reporters outside the courtroom after her husband and 50 other men were found guilty of her rape and *ual assault, and sentenced.

She said she respects the court and the decision it made. 'It is with profound emotion that I am here. The trial was a very difficult ordeal,' she said, reading from a prepared statement. The French court found 47 men guilty of rape, two of attempted rape and two of *ual assault, and Dominique Pelicot, who drugged and organised the rape of his wife over a nine-year period, was sentenced to 20 years in prison
