Axolotls, featured in Minecraft video games and depicted on Mexico's 50-peso note, are unfortunately on the brink of extinction in the wild. Despite their high profile, these unique amphibians are facing severe threats. Biologists are now working diligently to save these remarkable water creatures from disappearing.
